Cookie Policy
Effective date: 5 January 2026
Website: markaustin.co.uk (and any related pages, forms, and subdomains we operate)
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Qriosity Media LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses them, and how you can manage your preferences.
1) What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember preferences, and (in some cases) enable measurement and advertising.
Cookies can be:
Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser), or
Persistent cookies (stay on your device for a period of time).
We may also use similar technologies such as pixels/tags (for example, advertising tags) which can set or read identifiers.
2) How we use cookies
We use cookies in two broad categories:
A) Essential cookies (strictly necessary)
These are required for the website and forms to function properly. They may include cookies that:
enable core site functionality,
support security and fraud prevention,
help forms and booking flows work reliably,
store basic preferences (where necessary).
Because these are strictly necessary, they do not require consent.
B) Advertising / marketing cookies (Meta and Google)
We use advertising tags such as:
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms), and
Google Ads tag (Google)
to help measure the effectiveness of advertising and, where enabled, to show more relevant ads.
Important: Under UK privacy rules, advertising/marketing cookies generally require your prior consent. If your cookie setup is configured incorrectly (for example, marketing tags firing before you’ve opted in), that creates legal risk.
Our intention is to use a cookie consent banner/manager to control non-essential cookies.
3) Cookie consent and preference controls
We will provide a cookie banner/manager that allows you to:
accept all cookies,
reject non-essential cookies, or
choose categories.
Until you make a choice (or unless you choose to accept marketing cookies), we recommend configuring the site so that marketing cookies do not load.
Implementation note: If you decide to run marketing tags without prior consent, this policy should be updated to reflect the reality of how your site behaves and you should take legal advice.
Important note on advertising cookies (Meta Pixel and Google Ads)
Advertising/marketing cookies (including the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag) generally require your prior consent under UK privacy rules.
If our site is configured so that these tags load **before** you have accepted marketing cookies, then:
- you may see marketing cookies/identifiers set automatically; and
- your data may be shared with Meta and/or Google for advertising measurement and targeting purposes.
This is not our preferred approach. We intend to configure the website so that marketing tags only load after you opt in via the cookie banner/manager.
If, for any reason, marketing tags are active before consent, you should treat that as a temporary configuration issue and you can limit tracking by:
- declining marketing cookies in the cookie banner (once available), and/or
- blocking third-party cookies in your browser, and/or
- using browser privacy tools / ad blockers.
4) Cookies we use (typical examples)
The exact cookies present on your device can vary based on your browser, settings, and whether you consent.
Essential cookies
These may include cookies set by:
our website platform and forms,
our security tools,
our booking/CRM system.
Marketing/advertising cookies
If you consent to marketing cookies, you may see cookies such as (examples):
Meta: _fbp and related cookies/identifiers
Google Ads: cookies/identifiers used for ad measurement and conversion tracking (cookie names can vary by configuration)
For the most accurate, current list on your device, use:
the cookie banner/manager (once installed), and/or
your browser’s cookie view.
5) How to manage cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
delete cookies,
block cookies,
block third-party cookies,
set rules for specific sites.
Browser instructions (quick pointers):
Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
Safari (macOS): Settings/Preferences → Privacy
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
Blocking some cookies may affect the website’s functionality.
6) Third-party policies
Our advertising providers have their own privacy and cookie documentation. You should review their policies for details on how they use data.
7) Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website and tooling evolves. The effective date above will change when we do.
